Challenge: Centrica Energy Storage is undergoing a significant transformation to incorporate hydrogen storage and offshore wind energy into their infrastructure. Technical 3D Animation: We produced a hyper-realistic 3D animation illustrating the Rough Reservoir storage facility's evolution. This animation breaks down intricate processes, such as hydrogen storage integration and offshore wind energy utilisation, into easily digestible content. The full-length animation was designed to be segmented, allowing Centrica to share specific sections across various platforms, including social media and internal networks.
Augmented Reality App: Leveraging the 3D models from the animation, we developed a bespoke AR application to provide an interactive experience for users. The app enables stakeholders to explore detailed aspects of the new infrastructure at their own pace, enhancing engagement and understanding. This approach offers safety and accessibility benefits, allowing exploration of complex machinery without the need for physical proximity.
