/The challenge

PM Training teach signal engineering for the UK rail industry. Trainees need to understand how points and signals behave on a live railway, and what happens when a decision goes wrong, but that isn't something you can safely show them on real track.

/What we made

We developed their VR signalling simulator into a tool ready for the training room. We designed and built a new points testing scene, sharpened the visuals and interface, and added a train sequence so trainees see the track respond to every signalling decision. The system went on to win the Enginuity Skills Innovation of the Year Award 2023. VR training is now the work of ATXR, our VR training studio.
